Sun Microsystems, Inc. provides network computing infrastructure solutions that include computer systems, software, storage and services. Its core brands include the Java technology platform, the Solaris operating system, MySQL, StorageTek and the UltraSPARC processor.

Sun Microsystems chose AmSoft Systems for the Maintenance and Enhancement of the Library of Sample JavaFx Applications. JavaFX platform continues to evolve over time and as it evolves, the sample applications need to evolve as well to stay in sync with the evolved APIs, Classes, Controls and Widgets. Given that the existing library of sample applications was implemented some time ago, it needs evolution and maintenance.

The project goals are:

• Application Maintenance: Maintaining existing applications to make them highly usable and relevant by continuous Corrective and Adaptive activities so that they support the designed functionality and evolve with the platform
• Enhancement: Creating new applications that make 3rd Party developers more productive by exemplifying how JavaFX can be effectively used to realize a common denominator of Developer Stories. The proposed methodology is designed to be complimentary, independent and hence least disruptive to the existing JavaFX Engineering and other related efforts.
